Big Splash, Small Fish
Show is only running for one night. There will be no show on Friday 1st March due to unforeseen circumstances
From author of A Living Will, Jim Keane, Big Splash, Small Fish centres on Seamus Moore known locally as “The Sham”, a dreamer and schemer, a self styled entrepreneur who hasn’t either the brains nor finance to bring any of his wild schemes to fruition. Sham lives and sponges of his widowed mother Peggy. However his mad antics provide entertainment for the patrons of O’Brien’s Bar, which is owned and ran by Breda. O' Brien a no nonsense and sharp tongued woman, who took over the running of the Bar after her Father died.
Among the regulars who frequent the Bar are Shams Mother, Peggy, John Joe Whelan a Widower and one of the longest and perhaps the wisest customer, Mr. Brien Cullen, a haulage contractor and local Co. Councellor, with notions of becoming a T.D., Timothy Conway who works as an Accountant for Brian, Tim’s wife Tina, a rather flashy woman who manages the Community Centre. Rumours of fraud, infidelity and the unexpected return of Breda’s sister Joan upset the quiet and peaceful lives of the people of Kildangan.
